Bitcoin mining is legalized in Venezuela: miners must be licensed to work

Venezuela’s government says it has legalized Bitcoin (BTC) mining — but miners must obtain a license and agree to oversight by regulators.

According to media reports, the government has issued an official decree stating that all crypto mining machine manufacturers, crypto "farm" builders and mining hardware importers will also be subject to random inspections.
Citizens who want to mine Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will have to apply for a license from the National Regulatory Authority for Crypto Assets and Related Activities, which will regulate miners across the country.
The regulator did not directly mention the cost of the licenses, but said that price details will be provided through an online application system, which is currently under construction: “It will establish a ‘comprehensive miner register’, an online database with detailed information on individual miners, detailing what kind of mining activities they carry out, whether they sell, manufacture, import or use crypto mining equipment.”
The regulator has established a national digital mining pool, and it is "mandatory" for miners to obtain qualifications, and failure to comply will result in "sanctions." (Baijiahao)
