According to BlockBeats, the Uniswap Grants Program (UGP) has successfully passed the vote and became the first Uniswap governance proposal to meet the number of participants. UGP (Uniswap Grants Program v0.1) was proposed by Jesse Walden of Variant Fund and will help develop the Uniswap ecosystem by sponsoring hackathons and other events. The quarterly budget is US$750,000, and the funds will come from the Uniswap community treasury. The grant allocation committee will consist of six members, one lead and five reviewers. The program will be launched in 2021. This UGP will have a six-month implementation period, after which the program will need to be updated through UNI governance. Note that the proposal needs to be passed with more than 40 million votes. |
