31% of Brits are curious about cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin but lack market knowledge

A new survey conducted in the UK found that about a third of Britons are keen to invest in cryptocurrencies , but most of them do not understand the market conditions of digital assets well enough to actually invest.

According to a nationwide survey, 31% of British people are curious about cryptocurrencies, however, 62% said they would not buy any cryptocurrencies, citing a lack of understanding of the market. Of those surveyed, 43% did not know a safe way to invest in cryptocurrencies.

The survey found that about 64% said they would choose to invest in cryptocurrencies if they had more information, and 36% of respondents said they would invest if mainstream financial entities began offering cryptocurrencies to retail customers.

However, gold and Bitcoin are the top investments among Britons. When asked how they would invest £100 ($137), 30% preferred cryptocurrencies over gold in the top three choices, while only 31% chose gold. About 19% wanted to invest in real estate.

The crypto ecosystem is often criticized for its gender imbalance among influencers and traders. This trend is also evident in this survey, which shows that 53% of men buy cryptocurrencies to make money. 45% of women said they would buy cryptocurrencies after hearing positive facts.

In terms of popularity, cryptocurrencies rank higher in London, where 30% of people already own cryptocurrencies.
