Musk stressed that he is a Bitcoin supporter and regretted not buying it 8 years ago

On February 1, Beijing time, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in an interview with the American social media Clubhouse: "Bitcoin is a good thing, so I am a supporter of Bitcoin."
Musk said he had a share of Bitcoin trading in 2013, and many of his friends have been trying to persuade him to buy and sell Bitcoin for years. He also said that he should have bought Bitcoin at least eight years ago and admitted that he was late to the feast of Bitcoin trading.
After Musk made this statement, the price of Bitcoin rose by $600 at one point.
Musk believes that Bitcoin is really about to be widely accepted in the traditional financial field.
Previously, Musk often joked about Dogecoin (the second largest virtual currency after Bitcoin in terms of number of users), but he said it was just a joke. "The most ironic phenomenon is that Dogecoin will become the currency of the earth in the future."
It is worth mentioning that last Friday, after Musk changed his profile on Twitter to “#bitcoin”, Bitcoin immediately soared to more than $38,000, rising by 18% at one point, reaching its highest point in nearly two weeks.
In fact, Musk has been frequently posting news about Dogecoin or Bitcoin on Twitter, which often causes the prices of these virtual cryptocurrencies to soar.
On January 8 this year, Ben Mezrich, author of "Bitcoin Billionaires," tweeted: "I will never refuse to accept Bitcoin payment again." Later, Musk replied on Twitter: "I won't refuse it either."
Earlier, Musk also said that the structure of Bitcoin is very good and that virtual currency is more reliable than the currency issued by the central bank. He also revealed that he only holds 0.25 Bitcoins, which were given to him by a friend many years ago.
