Ethereum miners plan to conduct a hash rate migration demonstration on April 1 to oppose the EIP-1559 proposal

On March 11, Ethereum's EIP-1559 proposal was confirmed to be implemented in Ethereum's July London upgrade. However, the proposal has been opposed by the majority of miners. Recently, some Ethereum miners are trying to emphasize their opposition to the upcoming EIP-1559 through "computing power demonstrations."

Twitter user "Red Panda Mining" tweeted on March 8th, calling on Ethereum miners to hold a 51-hour computing power demonstration on April 1st, and transfer computing power to the Ethermine mining pool that opposes 1559. Of course, it is also obviously to show the outside world that the computing power of these opposing miners may exceed 51% of the current Ethereum network computing power.

Previously, due to miners' insistence on opposing the EIP-1559 proposal, some people were worried that Ethereum might encounter a "hard fork". In a live video on March 9, the popular Youtube user "Bits Be Trippin" called the proposal a well-intentioned "hash power display": "Part of the risk shown here is not to attack the network, but to show that hash power projection is possible."

The current mining pool computing power opposing Ethereum EIP-1559 seems to be as high as 62.88%.
