I will use the ASUS Snow Leopard rx588 in my hand, which has a full HP of 2304 as an example. The mining software is the Easy Miner that is generally used by newbies when they first enter the mining pit (however, the Easy Miner charges 5%, but it is simple and easy to operate. After you are familiar with the mining process, you can find the corresponding kernel to mine by yourself, and the charging is about 0.6%)

1. Reinstall the system

It is best to reinstall the system for mining. Win10 system mining is very stable. If the system has some problems, it may be that the system consumes computing power. Ps; install a pure system.

2. Find the graphics card driver corresponding to the graphics card

The graphics card driver is really important. For example, before the correct computing power of my graphics card rx588 was installed, it was only about 7. After installing the correct driver, even without overclocking, it was about 22. For example, the driver of my rx588 graphics card needs 20.4.2. It is not the case that the newer the driver, the better, so everyone must pay attention.

3. Mining software parameter settings

The first step is to set the parameters of the mining software. I will take the rx588 in my hand as an example. First, go to the advanced settings of Easy Miner (see the picture below) and fill in the corresponding parameters of your graphics card in the column for increasing computing power. I fill in 1 and 8 (you can go to the official website of Easy Miner to check the parameters), and then increase the virtual memory. If you don’t increase it, there may be no computing power. Generally, 16g is enough.

The second step is to select the kernel corresponding to the graphics card. If the wrong kernel is selected, there will be no computing power. For A card, choose t-0.8.1, and for N card, choose p5.5c.

The third step, for a card like mine, you must turn on the calculation mode and test mode at the bottom of the overclocking settings page, otherwise the computing power will only be around 10 no matter how you set it.

This is my original graphics card GPU parameter chart. Please pay special attention to the parameters I circled: shader, video memory type, video memory size, GPU frequency, video memory frequency. These parameters are related to how you set up overclocking and whether it is successful or not.

Here is a trick, that is, in the setting of the memory frequency, if you follow the official website, you may not be able to achieve the best and most suitable computing power value, because the particles and quality of each graphics card are different. You can adjust every 50 or even 10 on the official website recommended basic value. If you adjust it too high, the screen will be distorted and black, and if it is too low, the computing power will be low. According to the communication with me after the author made the video, some netizens, although they are rx588 like the author, have different graphics card brands. Some of them have to overclock to 2200 or even higher to achieve the best computing power. According to netizens, the general overclocking critical point is that the driver page will occasionally appear on the screen, and it will be black after it passes.

Another point is the fan speed. Generally, I set the fan speed to 80% for this card. It is enough to set it to effectively cool down.

However, it is said that some masters can reach more than 34 computing power of the rx588 through overclocking and other settings, which is really amazing. As an aside, the rx588 is a very cost-effective card for mining. The price was only about 500 one or two years ago. The author also bought it at that time. Then its computing power can be comparable to 2060, 1660ti, 1660, etc., which are several times more expensive. No wonder it has been hyped up to more than 2000 on Xianyu now. The key is that the power consumption is also low and it does not consume electricity. It is simply a must-have for home mining.

2. Tips for avoiding pitfalls

In fact, it is very simple in this regard. Newbies can use mature mining software such as Easy Miner or Open Source Miner. Although the water withdrawal is 5%, you don’t have to mess around, and these mining software will help you patch the computing power and have corresponding overclocking settings, saving you trouble and effort. If you feel that you are familiar with the entire mining process, you can find your own mining kernel software to mine, with a water withdrawal of about 0.6%. When downloading this kernel mining software, it is best to download it from the official website of the external network, and don’t download it from others. There is a deep pit in it, and you will work for others in vain. You can take a look at this picture. There is a "good-hearted person" who shares software with low water withdrawal. 2. Graphics card memory is very important

This is really the problem that most netizens ask me. The overclocking is set up, and the operation is as fierce as a tiger, but the computing power is only 10. If these two modes are not turned on, the computing power is only this much. This is also a pitfall that everyone will fall into if they are not careful.

We small retail investors only make pocket money by mining, a few dozen yuan a day, but the handling fee for applying for small withdrawals in this fish pool has been changed to a fixed fee of 0.005 eth some time ago. It is a vampire. I have not mined much in total, and all of it is contributed to the handling fee. So some netizens came to ask me why they can't withdraw small amounts of money, saying that the handling fee is not enough. Now I tell you that it is because it sucks too much blood. The solution for you is that we small retail investors go to the pool corresponding to the wallet, such as the Huobi wallet's Huobi pool, which seems to settle directly into your Huobi wallet.
