Venezuela's National Guard seizes 76 Bitcoin mining machines

According to a news release from GNB, the Bolivarian National Guard of Venezuela seized 76 Bitcoin mining machines due to the discovery of "inconsistencies in documents" required for the legal transportation of crypto mining equipment. It is worth noting that Venezuela legalized Bitcoin mining last year, however, all entities and individuals interested in legally mining Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies must apply for a license from the agency. In addition, some crypto mining activities are still restricted. The Venezuelan government prohibits mining activities in any low-income community with subsidized housing.
