Ukrainian authorities shut down illegal cryptocurrency mining farm with 150 mining machines

According to News bitcoin, Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) law enforcement officers recently discovered and closed an illegally operating cryptocurrency mining farm in Chernihiv Oblast in the north of the country.

It is reported that the mine is equipped with 150 ASIC miners and runs on stolen electricity. These devices consumed nearly $110,000 in energy in just two months. SBU agents seized these devices and other auxiliary equipment during the search. In addition, according to law enforcement agencies, the substation to which the miners were connected is a power station that provides electricity to ambulance services, water companies and other important facilities.
