Bitcoin approaches $36,000, DeFi coins surge double digits (Market Watch)

Bitcoin has surged by $3,000 in the past 24 hours, while several DeFi coins, including UNI, Aave, SNX, and COMP, have seen impressive double-digit gains.

After falling to around $33,000 again, Bitcoin has rebounded and successfully broke through the $36,000 mark. Some tokens in the DeFi market have also seen gratifying double-digit gains, with Uniswap up 11%, and Aave and Compound jumping more than 20%.

Most altcoins are currently trending upwards after a slight drop yesterday.

After jumping 6%, BNB has managed to recapture the $300 lost ground and approached $320, which is the highest price since June 18.

Cardano (2%), Polkadot (3%), Bitcoin Cash (1.5%), Litecoin (1.5%) and Solana (1%) are all in the green, while Ripple and Dogecoin are only slightly up over the 24 hour period.

Uniswap's DeFi head token UNI has risen by 18%, and the price of UNI has risen to over $22. Interestingly, other DeFi-related altcoins have also performed well since yesterday.

PancakeSwap almost replicated UNI's rise and has now returned to $15. Aave and Compound rose 21% to $333 and $515 respectively. This wave of gains also followed the good news that Aave announced the launch of Aave Pro for institutions.

KuCoin Token is the top gainer today, with a terrifying 42% intraday increase, and the price once exceeded $11. In this wave of growth, there are more DeFi coins following closely, including Synthetix (35%), SushiSwap (19%), THORChain (16%), Curve DAO Token (12%), Elrond (12%) and Avalanche (12%), all of which have performed well.

Currently, the total market value of the crypto market has recovered slightly and is close to 1.5 trillion US dollars.
