French central bank governor calls for cryptocurrency regulations in Europe

Speaking at the EUROPLACE annual financial conference in Paris, François Villeroy de Galhau, president of the French central bank (Banque de France), called on European regulators to introduce a regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies. The central bank governor reportedly believes that cryptocurrencies are increasingly undermining the euro’s international role. |
