Justin Sun won a complete set of NFT works by Beeple, promoting the NFTization of the world's top artworks

Recently, Justin Sun, the founder of TRON, successfully bought a set of artworks from the famous NFT artist Beeple and obtained the corresponding NFT physical objects. Previously, with TRON as the underlying technical support, traditional artists Picasso's "Reclining Nude with Necklace" and Andy Warhol's "Three Self-Portraits" have both been NFTized, marking that TRON and Justin Sun's various initiatives in the NFT field are advancing steadily and comprehensively, building a new industrial ecology of "blockchain + art".

Justin Sun bought a set of NFT works by Beeple for $950,000 (RMB 6 million), including 5 NFT artworks (ABUNDANCE, GIGACHAD, REBIRTH, BIOLOGICAL COLLECTIBLE, JANUARY 1ST, 2021) and 5 corresponding NFT objects. Among them, the NFT object consists of an aluminum base, a frame and an LED screen with custom programming, and has a unique color mode when lit. This is the first time that Beeple has launched an NFT artwork with a physical object. According to public data, Beeple is currently the most valuable artist in the field of NFT art, with a net worth of more than $140 million (RMB 900 million). Before this, Justin Sun and Beeple had already had a connection. At an auction themed on "carbon reduction" in March this year, Justin Sun bought the NFT work "OCEAN FRONT" created by him for $6 million (RMB 38 million).

Since NFT became a craze in the blockchain field and successfully "broke the circle", it has attracted attention from many industries such as technology, art, and investment. Justin Sun is one of the early planners. He has successively bought Picasso's "Reclining Nude with Necklace", Andy Warhol's "Three Self-Portraits", crypto artist Beeple's "Ocean's Front" and "ABUNDANCE", a complete set of NFT works auctioned by crypto artist Pak, and the NFT cover of Time magazine "The Computer in Society April 2nd, 1965".

It is reported that Tron has completed the NFTization of Picasso's "Reclining Nude with Necklace" and Andy Warhol's "Three Self-Portraits". The ownership of the two collections has been mapped to the Tron chain through the TRC-721 standard and will be permanently stored on the Tron public chain and BTFS decentralized storage system. This is also the first time that the works of famous artists Picasso and Andy Warhol have been NFTized, which has attracted widespread attention from both inside and outside the industry.

In March this year, Justin Sun bought Picasso's "Reclining Nude with Necklace" and Andy Warhol's "Three Self-Portraits" at Christie's 20th Century Art Evening Sale in London for $20 million (RMB 130 million) and $2 million (RMB 13 million), respectively. "Three Self-Portraits" is one of a series of works created by Andy Warhol a few months before his death. Famous artists such as Rembrandt and Van Gogh also used self-portraits as the last major theme of their lives. Andy Warhol is an American artist, printer, and film photographer who pioneered the visual art movement Pop Art and is regarded as a pioneer artist who challenged traditional aesthetics and traditional art creation tools for decades.

The successive uploading of works by two world-class artists to the blockchain means that Tron and Justin Sun are guiding the traditional art industry to accelerate its entry into the blockchain era and continuously contributing their own strength in building a new industrial ecology of "blockchain + art".
