Talen and TeraWulf form zero-carbon bitcoin mining joint venture

Cryptocurrency mining company and data center Talen Energy Corporation (Talen) announced the establishment of a zero-carbon Bitcoin mining joint venture Nautilus Cryptomine with mining company Tera Wulf to develop up to 300 megawatts of zero-carbon Bitcoin mining capacity and promote the integration of clean energy and digital infrastructure assets.

The first phase of Nautilus Cryptomine is a $350 million to $400 million 180-megawatt bitcoin mining facility to be built at Talen’s Digital Infrastructure Campus adjacent to the Susquehanna Nuclear Power Plant in Berwick, Pennsylvania.

Nautilus Cryptomine said it will provide low-cost, reliable, zero-carbon electricity through a direct interconnection with the Susquehanna.
