Cuban government to recognize and regulate cryptocurrencies

The Cuban government said on Thursday that it will recognize and regulate cryptocurrencies for payments on the island. A resolution published in the official gazette said the central bank will set rules for cryptocurrencies and decide how to issue licenses to related service providers in Cuba, while clearly stating that they must not be involved in illegal activities.
