Venezuela’s Criminal Investigation Section (CICPC) said that just days ago, 23-year-old financial advisor Andres Jesus Dos Santos Hernandez allegedly faked his own kidnapping to steal more than $1 million in Bitcoin from clients he controlled, Decrypt reported on August 31. Hernandez acted as some kind of investment intermediary for several clients. The CICPC head claimed that Hernandez emptied the wallets of his clients’ Binance accounts of $1,150,000. He fraudulently claimed that he was kidnapped and that his kidnappers forced him to retrieve the money. |
