The survey also showed that most Salvadorans believe the main beneficiaries of the measure will be the wealthy, foreign investors, the government and business leaders.

“We can see in this survey that, in addition to the majority rejecting the use of Bitcoin as legal tender, for the first time we find a significant disagreement between the people and the decisions made by the Legislative Assembly and the President,” said Andreu Oliva, dean of the UCA.
