According to BlockBeats, on September 7, Bitcoin reported that Eduardo Abreu, vice president of new business at payment giant Visa in Brazil, said that the company plans to develop applications (APIs) to connect traditional banks with crypto products. Users can invest in cryptocurrencies and ETFs directly through the bank platform without going through intermediaries. Visa also announced that it is working with several national institutions, including Zro Bank, Alterbank and Rippio, to issue cryptocurrency cards. Users can bind crypto cards to bank accounts, but a specific timetable has not yet been disclosed. Abreu also said that they are developing a B2B-oriented blockchain to facilitate payment settlements between companies using smart contracts. Visa will also begin testing direct Bitcoin payments in Brazil, allowing Bitcoin to be transferred directly to other accounts. |
