On September 8, Bitmain announced that it has reached a Bitcoin mining hosting agreement with data center and energy partners Bit5ive and ISW Holdings, which will store 56,000 Antminers in Georgia, USA. According to a statement on Wednesday, the entire mining fleet will use 200 megawatts of capacity when fully deployed in October 2022. The first 20 megawatts of capacity is expected to be put into operation next month, the companies said. It is reported that the mining machine used in the transaction is Bitmain's latest generation of Antminer S19 series, with an average computing power of 100 TH/s. When fully deployed, the entire mining team will have a computing power of about 5.6 EH/s. ISW Holdings said that the cost of launching and activating these mining facilities totaled US$62 million, of which US$6 million has been paid. |
