According to a new survey cited by local newspaper Globo, 48% of Brazilians want to follow El Salvador’s example and make Bitcoin the country’s official currency. 30% of respondents disagreed with such a proposal, while 21% strongly opposed it. As previously reported, in March, Brazil became the second country in the world (after Canada) to approve the launch of a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund. Meanwhile, a recent YouGov survey showed that 27% of Americans support making Bitcoin an official currency. |
