Finastra adds first Bitcoin wallet to banking app store

The Allied application, built in conjunction with Nydig, will enable financial institutions to offer their customers and members the ability to buy, sell and hold Bitcoin through a compliant, secure and turnkey platform.
Built on Finastra’s open development platform FusionFabric.cloud, the wallet will bring together bitcoin transactions, digital payments and account balances into one place. Financial institutions will no longer have to transact in bitcoin or keep it on their balance sheets.
“Allied’s primary focus is to make it easier for financial institutions to offer value-based technologies that allow them to differentiate in the market, attract new depositors, retain customers through high engagement, and generate revenue,” said Ralph Marcuccilli, CEO of Allied. “Providing access to Bitcoin does just that and is a game changer for many community institutions.”
