The Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) is considering listing cryptocurrency futures on its derivatives exchange MexDer, the exchange’s CEO José-Oriol Bosch said. The executive said the plan has been analyzed and discussed with the financial institutions that oversee the BMV. Bosch said that authorization is being sought to list cryptocurrency futures on MexDer, but Mexico's financial authorities are more conservative than other authorities on this issue. Bosch also said that the BMV is seeking approval for virtual asset exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for its platform for trading foreign securities, the International Quotation System (SIC). |
