Speculation that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission may approve a Bitcoin ETF futures product this week was seen as a catalyst for Bitcoin's further rise. Crypto promoters such as Morgan Creek Digital Assets’ Anthony said on Twitter that things could “get crazy.” Other industry veterans are not so sure. Chou, head of over-the-counter trading at Kraken Exchange, said it is unclear whether the launch of a Bitcoin ETF will trigger a lot of demand, given the accessibility of the cryptocurrency market relative to previous years. Chou said in an interview that the ETF is definitely positive, but it will not have the same impact as many years ago because we have already anticipated institutional demand. |
