US public pension fund injects $25 million into Bitcoin and Ethereum

A US public pension fund has injected $25 million into Bitcoin and Ethereum;
The Houston Firefighters Relief and Retirement Fund (HFRRF), which has over $4 billion in assets, recently invested $25 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum through New York Digital Investment Group (NYDIG), a subsidiary of asset management firm StoneRidge.

Ajit Singh, chief investment officer at HFRRF, said recent investments in the two largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization are a tool to manage risk with positive expected returns and little correlation to other asset classes.
