Tesla plans to restart cryptocurrency payments

Tesla, the electric car manufacturing giant led by Elon Musk, may soon look to restore support for crypto payments.

In a quarterly filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in September this year, Tesla stated that "it may resume cryptocurrency trading in the future," indicating that Tesla is considering resuming the use of digital asset trading.

In addition, Tesla also expressed its belief in crypto assets as a means of storing value and a means of payment. They wrote in the document that "we believe in the long-term potential of digital assets as an investment and cash alternative."

In June, Elon Musk said Tesla would resume BTC payments if “at least half” of the BTC network’s computing power was powered by renewable energy.
