Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission notified that the price increase standard for virtual currency mining is 0.50 yuan per kilowatt-hour

The Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued a notice on matters related to the implementation of differentiated electricity price policies for virtual currency "mining":

1. Differentiated electricity prices are applied to electricity used for virtual currency "mining", with a surcharge of RMB 0.50 per kilowatt-hour.

2. Development and Reform Departments at all levels should strengthen the dynamic identification of electricity used for virtual currency "mining", regularly publish and update the list of electricity users who should implement differentiated electricity prices and the implementation start and end dates, and notify power grid companies by letter. For the same electricity user, if there is a mixture of electricity used for virtual currency "mining" and other electricity, the differentiated electricity price policy will be implemented for all electricity used.

3. Power grid companies at all levels should strengthen coordination with relevant government departments to ensure that the differentiated electricity price policy for cryptocurrency "mining" is strictly implemented and that surcharges are collected in a timely and full manner.

4. If the policy implementation period is less than one meter reading cycle, it can be determined by multiplying the daily average electricity consumption in the corresponding meter reading cycle by the number of days for which the differentiated electricity price policy should be implemented. Please report any problems encountered during implementation to the Provincial Development and Reform Commission in a timely manner.

Previously, Hainan and Inner Mongolia successively notified the price increase standards. The price increase standard in Inner Mongolia is 1 yuan per kilowatt-hour, and the price increase standard in Hainan is 0.8 yuan per kilowatt-hour.
