In investment, the one who knows how to buy is the apprentice, and the one who knows how to sell is the master. I can't be a master. I always hoard coins and miss the selling point. What should I do?

It is very difficult to find the right time to sell investment coins. Coins generally fall for longer periods of time and rise for shorter periods of time, so the good selling time window is very narrow.

The solutions I can think of are:

1. Improve selling ability.

2. Buy assets that you don’t need to sell.

I think the focus should be on developing method 2 .

Method 1 is difficult. The most difficult part is that investors who want to profit by capturing the selling time (timing) are participating in a zero-sum game.

There is such a case.

I bought a coin, and the holdings were enough to enter the group of big investors. I was locked in for a very long time, more than 3 years. I was in the group of big investors, so I knew that most of the big investors had fled. The balance information of the address on the chain can still be checked, and the big investors know each other and basically understand it. I finally despaired. A week after I stopped the loss, the coin rose 10 times. I reviewed this loss and found that after I stopped the loss, the coin was basically controlled by a mysterious force for more than 90% , and it was too easy to pull the price.

In the cryptocurrency world, if the main profit of a coin depends on timing, it is a game of running fast, a pure zero-sum game, I run first or you run first, everyone is the enemy. What's more terrible is that the project owner is the biggest opponent of the investor.

Based on this kind of zero-sum game thinking, I found that there may be a set of methodologies for reaping profits in the cryptocurrency market (and I guess the stock market is similar).

1) Develop in a low-key manner for a long time, without releasing any positive news, or even releasing negative news, and then build a position, or directly mine and hoard coins

2) Concentrate on a period of time, release favorable news on a large scale, pull up the market, and sell goods

Repeat 1) and 2). Come on, if you dare to buy, I will kill you. Let's hurt each other and become enemies together.

It feels so bad to be enemies with each other.

After experiencing many failed investment experiences where I needed to choose the right time to sell, I made up my mind and decided to focus my main energy on developing Method 2 and finding assets that I didn't need to sell.

Give up the ideal of getting rich quickly.

Look for ones that actually have a business model.

Look for assets that many people are willing to hold for a long time (such as 10 years).

Look for assets that have cash inflows, and preferably assets where you can actually think of the principal as a sunk cost.
