A comprehensive review of potential airdrops in 2024

January is not over yet, and we have already welcomed the airdrops of ZKF, MANTA, ALT, JUP, and the confirmed NAM, DYM, SAGA, and FRAME.

The chart below shows the more or less confirmed TGEs (Token Generation Events) for this year.

First of all, these are plans by tech companies. We know how this will turn out. Expect delays, delays, and more delays.

Second, these are conservatively estimated minimum numbers. Expect more unexpected TGEs during the bull run.

Third, no rumors, no "insider" bullshit, etc. Only confirmed information or educated guesses, do your own research.

1. Q1 :

The following projects have snapshots, we are just waiting for TGE, so we won't go into detail here. If you are already involved, then congratulations: Namada, AltLayer, Dymension, Saga, Frame, ZKX, diva.

Aevo: TGE (or RBN’s token swap) is scheduled for January, with 16% of Aevo going to incentives.

Thetanuts Finance: NUTS will be available on Coinlist soon. 2% will be distributed in the first wave of airdrops, which is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.

zkLink: ZKL will be sold through Coinlist. No news on incentives yet.

ZetaChain: ZetaChain is an L1 blockchain that will use its tokens to pay for gas fees. Therefore, the ZETA TGE date is tied to the mainnet schedule, which is scheduled to go live in the first quarter of 2024.

MilkyWay: TIA liquidity staking app plans to conduct TGE in the first quarter.

Maverick Protocol: MAV is already live, so the upcoming one will not be a TGE, but a 2nd airdrop (even though they call it the Season 1 airdrop).

Avail: AVAIL is tied to the mainnet date confirmed by the team. The mainnet is expected to go live in the first quarter.

Merkle Trade: MKL TGE is scheduled to launch in the first quarter.

Taiko: Taiko’s design includes a token plan, so their TGE may coincide with the mainnet date, which is expected to go live in the first quarter.

TapiocaDAO: TAPIOCA is scheduled to be released in February 2024.

IntentX: TGE is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2024.

Aleo: Aleo is an L1 and requires ALEO to pay gas fees. Therefore, TGE is expected to be released with the mainnet in the first quarter of 2024.

Kinza Finance: KZA is scheduled to go live in the first quarter of 2024.

Nostra: NOS will be released in Q1. How do we know? Please check the TempleDAO governance forum.

Swell: You can currently earn “pearls” by minting swETH and providing liquidity to it, but you will be able to convert these pearls into SWELL tokens in the future. The current plan is to release SWELL tokens at the “end” of Q1.

Mantle: Well, it's not the TGE, it's the Season 1 reward. Probably, we'll get some MNT instead of merchandise.

2. Q1-Q2:

Starknet: Starknet has not confirmed when it will release the STRK token, but all evidence suggests it will be released soon. Take the example of KuCoin exchange clearing similar tokens, probably in preparation for STRK trading.

LayerZero Labs: LayerZero Labs said ZRO will be released in the first half of the year, which you already know.

Gravita Protocol: TGE is scheduled to start at the end of the first quarter or the beginning of the second quarter.

Timeswap: TIME is already in the pre-mining stage, and TGE is scheduled to start in the first half of the year.

KiloEx: KiloEx plans to conduct TGE in Q1-Q2.

Lumoz: We are expecting to release MOZ in Q1-Q2. Or according to another team member, it may even be released in Q2.

Magpie Protocol: TGE is planned for 2024. The team said it will be “sooner than you think”, so I think it will probably be in the first half of the year.

Reya Labs: Reya Labs (a product of Voltz) needs to use Reya as part of the protocol design. The mainnet is planned to be launched in the first quarter, but the token is planned to be launched soon after passive LP is enabled.

Satori: Satori joked with us about a "belated Christmas present", which made me think that TGE might be in the first half of the year. It would be a bit lame to force the second half of the year to be tied to last year's Christmas, right?

3. Q2 :

Blast: Points can be redeemed in May, so the TGE may take place during that period.

Fyde Treasury Protocol: FYDE is scheduled to be released in April-May.

Kroma: TGE will be held in June.

ether.fi: TGE is scheduled to start in April 2024.

4. Q2-Q3

Berachain: Berachain mainnet needs to use tokens, so TGE is likely to be released during the mainnet launch. But some people say it may be Q2 or Q2-Q3.

5. Q2-Q4

Ekubo: Is Ekubo climbing up the charts? EKUBO is scheduled to be released in Q2-Q4.

6. Q3-Q4

GRVT: GVT is scheduled to go online in Q3-Q4 2024.

Monad: Monad is an L1 that will use MONAD tokens to pay for gas fees. Therefore, we can expect the TGE to be released around their mainnet launch date. The mainnet is scheduled to be released “later” in 2024.

7. Other TGEs in 2024

azuro: The AZUR TGE is scheduled to take place this year, but we don’t know exactly when. Many people speculate that it may be in the first quarter, but we cannot confirm it.

Element NFT Marketplace: You can accumulate ELE by holding their genesis NFTs. No specific ELE release date, but it will definitely be this year.

Orbiter Finance: Orbiter Finance confirmed their plans to issue a token this year. However, no further details were released.

Polyhedra: The Polyhedra network has revealed airdrop criteria, but has not yet announced a specific TGE date.

Mangrove: Mangrove is planning a TGE this year and has even started discussing how to conduct DAO governance.

Optimism: What will happen is not a TGE, but further OP airdrops. Given that we already received some OP tokens last year, it is safe to assume that we will receive at least one more airdrop in 2024.

Rabby Wallet: Rabby keeps telling us that certain snapshots have been generated. Unless it is a points snapshot.

Aztec: This is the one I’m most excited about. Aztec V3 will be a reboot as a fully decentralized (i.e. AZTEC) network. Their roadmap is very ambitious and if all goes well, it’s likely that the mainnet will be live this year.
