Cryptocurrency market under Trump's new policy: opportunity or trap? Where should investors go?

After Trump took office and delivered his inaugural address yesterday, many people online were discussing why Trump did not mention cryptocurrency at all in his speech?

Actually, I don’t think you need to worry too much about this.

As an inaugural address, it reflects more Trump's redefinition and restatement of the country's future direction and basic values as president, rather than an expression of industrial development and specific policies.

In terms of technology policy, Trump once strongly advocated that there are two areas that need to be focused on development: one is crypto assets and the other is artificial intelligence.

In this speech, not only did he not mention crypto assets, he also did not mention artificial intelligence.

But does this mean that he will not take any subsequent measures to continue to strengthen the United States' leading position in these two areas?

Definitely not.

In terms of industrial and economic policies, there are two policies that Trump has strongly advocated: one is the return of manufacturing, and the other is the imposition of tariffs on foreign countries.

In this speech, he mentioned making the United States a manufacturing country again, but he did not mention the return of manufacturing, let alone the imposition of tariffs.

But does this mean that he will not take any subsequent measures to implement his ideas?

Definitely not.

As soon as the speech was over, his first tariff stick was directed at neighboring Canada.

If you look closely at the seating arrangement at his inauguration ceremony, you will find that the first row is his family members, the second row is American technology giants, and the third row is his cabinet members.

It can be seen from this ranking relationship that cabinet members do not have much influence on him. I even think that they are just tools for him to achieve his own goals. The ones who can really influence his policies are the first two rows: family members and technology giants.

Not to mention the family members.

Just look at those tech giants, almost all of them are involved in the encryption industry, all of them are involved in artificial intelligence? And all of them are full of vigilance and hostility towards other countries?

In the past, we always liked to say that American presidents were being held hostage by the financial interests of Wall Street.

But when I look at these tech giants surrounding Trump, I feel that for this president, the status of tech giants in his mind is far higher than Wall Street.

Watching this scene, I have mixed feelings.

I have written in previous articles that this time Trump has lost the youthfulness of his previous term, and this time he will do his best to implement his ideal policies and measures.

Therefore, the key now is not whether he will introduce any measures, but what exactly he thinks and whether his previous ideas will change.

If this is what he has always wanted to do, I am afraid no one can stop him. The only thing that can stop him is a sufficiently tempting benefit and a high enough price.

But who knows how big his appetite is as a businessman?

When it comes to the crypto industry, he will definitely give priority to and support American companies in this industry. In my opinion, these companies are both "good" and "bad" (the "good" and "bad" I am talking about here are purely from the perspective of values).

So when he introduces a series of measures to benefit these companies, the impact on the entire crypto ecosystem may be very complicated:

In the long run, it will definitely benefit the entire ecosystem.

But in the short term, there will be various unexpected impacts on the ecosystem, and it is difficult to tell whether these impacts are good or bad in a short period of time. In addition, his own team issued coins, which made things more complicated.

So overall my strategy is to watch more and do less, and to focus on observation. If I don't understand something, I won't touch it, but observe it first.

As for the fact that many people on the Internet say that they missed the opportunity to get rich by Trump's coin issuance, I don't think it's a pity. I didn't participate either. I didn't buy his coin, nor did I buy his wife's coin.

If everyone thinks this is an opportunity to get rich quickly, then from another perspective it also shows that the crypto ecosystem is always full of opportunities. If you miss one, there will be another one. We just need to wait patiently for the next opportunity that belongs to us.
