Three thoughts on Vitalik’s latest article

Let me share my thoughts on Vitalik’s latest essay:

General Secretary Vitalik issued the highest instructions, adhering to supply-side economics unwaveringly. In the face of severe external challenges from Solana, the Ethereum ecosystem must enhance its confidence in the infra-centric path and the white left hippie culture, and continue to unswervingly advance the modularization (sharding) path of Ethereum. In 25 years, the two main network upgrade key projects of Pectra/Fulu Osaka will be implemented, and results will be achieved in key areas such as account abstraction, L1/L2 interoperability, Blob market mechanism, data availability sampling main network adoption, and main network block statelessness.

Vitalik's essay reveals his white left crypto philosophy everywhere: he loves the abstract concept of decentralization and Infra, but hates users who embrace the concept of decentralization and use decentralized Infra - DeFi Degen, Pumpfun Gambler, Crypto Trader, etc.

The Solana ecosystem, which represents the American spirit and WASP blue blood in this cycle, had a 24-hour transaction volume of one chain that surpassed the entire Ethereum ecosystem at its peak. Its ecosystem wallet Phantom ranked top 3 in the AppStore/Google Play Store download rankings, crushing the Ethereum ecosystem wallet Metamask.

What’s even more frightening is that Solana has occupied the minds of most Generation Z/Post-00s youngsters and developers, many of whom already view Ethereum as something that only ancient people can play with.

Faced with these structural challenges from the consumer level, Vitalik gave a classic white left solution: continue to vigorously develop production and continue to build infrastructure.

The reason is obviously not to maintain the fundamental interests of the Ethereum ecosystem, but because he is too afraid that power will slip away from him and run into the hands of business elites from Wall Street/Silicon Valley.

Although both the Ethereum ecosystem and the Solana ecosystem refuse to acknowledge the existence of the Ethereum-Solana War, everyone knows that the Ethereum-Solana War will inevitably become the main theme of the industry in 25 years.

The market and user mind battle between Solana's SVM camp's @SonicSVM, @soon_svm, @solayer_labs and ETH AltVM lineup's @monad_xyz, @megaeth_labs will bring a lot of new wealth opportunities to everyone.
