Austrian bitcoin startup Coinimal has launched a new service that it says will allow customers to shop on the German Amazon.de website using bitcoin without charging a middleman fee. According to a press release from the company, in addition to offering eight different ways to trade cryptocurrencies, Coinimal customers can now trade their Bitcoin for Amazon.de vouchers, offering a completely different way to cash out. It is reported that the whole process is fully automatic. Users send Bitcoin to Coinimal and then wait for 1 to 3 blocks to be confirmed before receiving their voucher code via email.
No intermediary fees, no verification requiredThe company also claims that the new service is not only fast, but also very low-cost. Users do not need to pay transaction fees when using Bitcoin to purchase Amazon vouchers. For example, if a user spends 100 euros in Bitcoin, they will get an Amazon voucher with a market value of 100 euros. "We can do this thanks to our direct partnership with Amazon.de," said Paul Klanschek, co-CEO of Coinimal. "Because this program is 100% directly in cooperation with Amazon.de, these vouchers are also genuine and there are no additional fees, which makes it very convenient and quick for users to spend Bitcoin on Amazon.de." Furthermore, the service does not require verification. Customers only need an email address, and every day they can purchase 5,000 euros worth of Amazon.de vouchers, which they can use themselves or give to family and friends. Unique servicesAccording to the company, Coinimal is the first and currently the only provider in the world to offer this service for Amazon.de. "Facilitating purchases and building bridges for existing online businesses is an important part of the growth of the Bitcoin economy, and we are very proud to be partnering with Amazon.de, giving our customers the opportunity to use Bitcoin to buy whatever they want on one of the world's largest and most trusted e-commerce platforms." It is reported that the service also has a limit on the amount, with a minimum of 25 euros per day and a maximum of 5,000 euros. The vouchers can be used to pay for part or all of a purchase and once the user redeems any unused voucher balance, it will be credited to their Amazon.de account for their next use.
